Saying Yes More Oftenby Cath N I've been making a conscious effort to say "yes" more often. Thinking about why I'm saying "no", and considering if I'm saying it for a valid reason, or just habit. It's interesting because it's really making me question myself. My daughter asked this afternoon if she could have a hot chocolate. My first instinct was to say no...why? Because it's a "treat" not for "whenever", and "bad" for you and full of sugar...etc etc. Then my thought process went like this:
So she got a hot chocolate. So did her younger brother who decided he didn't like it anyway. She was happy, and I have been looking at recipes to make our own... healthier than shop bought... and something we can do together. Learning every day... and I'm not talking about the kids! |
